How Bluebell works

Everything in one place — how a session runs, how to sign up, how a parent pays, how to cancel, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

How a session works

Pick a subject, then a topic. Bluebell already knows what is on that topic in your exam board’s specification, so you don’t have to explain the context — just start asking.

It won’t simply hand you the answer. That is deliberate. It asks questions back, gives a hint, and works through the problem a step at a time, because the point is that you can do it in the exam when nobody is there to ask. If you are genuinely stuck, say so and it will walk you through the whole thing.

Sessions are saved. Close the tab, come back next week, and your conversation and progress are still there.

Signing up

Creating an account is free and takes a minute: a username, an email address and a password at the sign-up page.

If your school has given you a code, enter it and Bluebell is free — there is nothing to pay and no card needed. If you don’t have one, leave that field blank; you’ll be asked to subscribe before you can start.

Messages and allowances

Each plan includes a number of AI messages a week. A message is anything that asks the AI to do work — a question to the tutor, a practice test generated, or an answer marked.

The allowance is a rolling seven days, not a calendar week. It tops itself up continuously rather than resetting on a Monday, so you are never waiting days for a reset. Unused messages don’t roll over.

There is also a shorter limit over any 3 hours, so a runaway loop can never burn a whole week’s allowance in one sitting. Pro’s is set high enough for genuine exam-week cramming.

You can see exactly how much you have used at any time on your settings page.

Paying

Bluebell is used by students aged 14 to 18, so a parent or guardian buys the subscription. They don’t need a Bluebell account of their own.

  1. The student signs up and opens the subscribe page.
  2. They tap Ask a parent to pay and send the link however is easiest — message, email, or just handing over the phone.
  3. The parent opens it on their own device, chooses Lite or Pro, and pays by card.
  4. The student’s account unlocks automatically, within a few seconds. Nothing else to do.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach us. Charges appear on the statement as BLUEBELL AI. Full prices are on the pricing page.

Cancelling or switching plan

From settings, choose Manage subscription. That opens Stripe’s billing portal, where you can:

When you cancel, access continues to the end of the month already paid for. Nothing is deleted — progress and history stay put in case you come back. The detail is in the cancellation and refund policy.

Forgotten your password?

Go to the reset page and enter the email address you signed up with. We’ll email you a link that lets you set a new password.

The link lasts an hour and works once, so use it when it arrives. If nothing turns up, check your spam folder and make sure you used the address you signed up with — then email raunaq@bluebellai.org and we’ll do it by hand.

Something’s wrong — tell us

Bluebell uses AI, and AI gets things wrong sometimes. If the tutor states something that contradicts your spec, marks an answer unfairly, or a page misbehaves, please report it. Each report genuinely gets read, and it is how the content improves.

Useful to include: the subject and topic, roughly what you asked, and what it said that was wrong.

Getting help from a person

For anything the form doesn’t cover — billing questions, school enquiries, or deleting your data — email raunaq@bluebellai.org. A real person reads it.

If you are emailing about a payment, please include the email address the subscription was bought with, as that is usually a parent’s rather than the student’s.
